Citrus Yellow for 2011

The color that you may be seeing quite a bit of in 2011 is citrus yellow. In the Colour Futures 2011 report as presented by Per Nimer, Akzonobel’s global design manager and colour expert, Nimer announced the themes for next year’s palette. And the color of the year  was predicted as citrus yellow.

Yes, it may be a bit bright, but don’t forget there are variations of the color that can be calmed with some nice Earth tones like green or brown. This citrus yellow color is inspired by nature and picturesque environment scenery. In today’s climate of eco-friendly awareness and protecting our environment, this color will more than likely grow to be a very powerful choice in residences and commercial establishments.
