Combining the right colors can create any desired mood or effect for a room. There are certain color combinations that are known traditionally to represent elegance, the seashore, warm and cozy, peaceful and so forth. These color combinations are key in building the appearance of the room. But it is not best practice to just combine colors on a whim, you have to understand how it works.
When you first decide to redesign or redecorate a room, one of the first things to think about is the room’s color palette. You may already have a few colors in mind but make sure they are complementary. Once you have the colors down, you can begin painting the room. A great idea is to have an accent wall to bring together the color palette, but there are other ways you can incorporate all of the colors nicely.

Before you paint, it is very important that you have surfaces pressure washed. The most common surfaces to pressure wash are building and home exteriors where it is apart of regular maintenance as well. However, there are other surfaces that need to have pressure washing maintenance as well like boats, parking lots, decks, mobile trailers and more.
It is important to thoroughly maintain surfaces with pressure washing because it removes…
- Mold and mildew that have developed due to weather and the environment
- Chemicals and other elements that cling to the surfaces
- Old layers of peeled paint coats
Pressure Washing also prevents the progression of damage from a host of conditions that affect surfaces.

You may remember the previous post on the new The Lead: Renovation, Repair & Painting Rule. But there has been a recent development in the Environmental Protection Agency’s decision that will be a great help to re-modelers and contractors all over the country.
The EPA has decided to delay the enforcement of the new Lead: Renovation, Repair and Painting rule after listening to the concerns of many NAHB members. The concern was that many of the re-modelers and contractors have not been able to obtain the required training to comply with the rule due to various circumstances that were out of their control.
